Everyone knows how important it is to get a good night’s rest. Most of us were taught and developed various nighttime rituals to help prepare us for sleep. #5 Make Your Bed

Many of us were “trained” as children to make our beds when we got up. If you were one of them, thank your parents! It’s been proven that those people who regularly make their beds upon waking up tend to be happier and more productive than those who don’t. Additionally, the feeling of pride from accomplishing something first thing in the morning is a mood booster for the rest of the day.

#4 Drink Some Water

People tend to be far more dehydrated than they realize. Many go through the day without drinking enough water. Did you know that many people end up becoming dehydrated while sleeping? This tends to be even more true if you sleep with a fan blowing on you. So make drinking a full glass of water a priority first thing in the morning. Not only will it help with dehydration, but it also will get your metabolism moving, which can help with weight loss.

#3 Get Some Exercise

Not everyone enjoys exercising. For many of us, running, jumping, or lifting weights makes us gag. Thankfully, experts remind us that we don’t have to do a full workout daily. Even if we don’t do traditional exercises, stretching, tai chi, or yoga can be an excellent mood enhancer and help us stay healthier and happier!

Still, even extroverts can benefit from taking the time to focus on doing things they enjoy. A few minutes doing any of these things will be good for your mental state of mind.

Thus, we consider meditation the most crucial habit a person can use every morning to improve their mental health.
